Juan-Pablo was appointed MASA's President and CEO in 2011 with the mandate to grow the company as an international leader in the M&S software industry for the defense, homeland security and emergency management markets as well as to accelerate MASA's multi-sector development. Prior to MASA, Pablo worked at Alcatel-Lucent Ventures, leading the business development activities for Mobile Broadcast technologies in Southern Europe and the Americas. With a broad experience in defining and implementing go-to-market strategies for disruptive technologies, his background includes market and financial research for the space telecommunications industry, financial modeling of market behaviors in the banking industry, as well as consulting with the US government on geopolitical technology analyses and international strategic partnerships. Pablo is a graduate from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, holds an engineering degree from Ecole polytechnique in France, and a Master’s degree in Technology and Policy from MIT.
Rémi arrived at MASA Group in 2002, first as Manager of the SCIPIO project, then as Chief Operating Officer in charge of simulation projects. After 10 years working in the CAD industry, first as R&D Engineer, then as Pre-sales Engineer and finally as Service Department Manager at Matra Datavision, Rémi Gilet has been Chief Operating Officer for 4 years in an information technology service company. Rémi Gilet holds an Engineering degree in Mechanics.
Marco is in charge of engineering, professional services and project deliveries within MASA Group. Marco has a diverse project management experience as well as a wide international background. He has lived in over 5 countries in Europe and the United States and has worked for both small/medium companies and large groups (Publicis, Suez-Environment, IBM among others). Marco’s engineering experience has been accrued on a large variety of systems and projects: from messaging systems to workflow automation and workgroup solutions, to enterprise search engines and system management. Marco was born in Italy and has developed a wide understanding of multi-cultural interactions.
Gilles leads and defines MASA's technology strategy in line with market perspectives and MASA’s growth objectives. Prior to MASA, Gilles co-founded and worked at Quividi, a high tech company in the digital media sector, where he led operations and product development strategy. Gilles was previously CTO for Kinomai, a company specialized in Artificial Intelligence technology. He has 15 years of experience in research and development of software and services using cutting-edge technologies. He has already had a first experience working for one of the tactical simulation centers of the French Army. He has also worked extensively with international companies in the United States and throughout Europe. Gilles holds an Engineering degree from ESME in France.
Enrico Raue is in charge of sales development in new geographical markets at MASA Group. Enrico’s primary experience is sales & business to business development of advanced software solutions, usually in the form of a combination of software licenses and customization services. He currently leads MASA Group’s efforts to enlarge the outreach of MASA’s products both directly to end-users and through the development of other distribution channels worldwide such as local and regional Value-Added Resellers as well as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) system integrators. He also provides valuable insight on the marketing activities of the company. Enrico is a mechanical engineer with a long experience in the simulation industry and the ecosystem of virtual simulation solutions as well as design & manufacturing simulation systems. Born in Germany, raised in Sweden where he completed his studies and started his professional career and now for the past 15 years resides in France, he also has a wide international business experience and a rich and diverse multicultural background.
Eric spearheads MASA’s marketing and communications strategy and initiatives. With the goal of bringing the unique story of MASA to the global market, Eric is focused on developing and communicating the company’s brand identity, values and product promise. With a twenty-five year track-record of brand image and awareness building in multicultural, business-to-business and high-tech environments, Eric brings to MASA extensive marketing and communications management experience gained within major international communications agencies (Lintas, Hakuhodo, Publicis), and innovative telecommunications leaders (Eutelsat, Alcatel-Lucent). Eric holds a Statistician and Economist degree from the French National Advanced College for Statistics and Economics (ENSAE), and a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) in Mathematics Applied to Social Sciences from the Paris Dauphine University.
After completing her education in Algiers, Amina moved to Paris, where she started her career as a trainer with Mc Donald’s. She quickly & successfully increased her level of responsibilities to become team manager, then head of operations with responsibilities including cash flow & financial management as well as human resources across several branches. With a broad and diverse range of work experience -which includes positions like Merchandising Manager for the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, where she was in charge of logistics, procurement, cash flow management, and a total budget of several million euros, she joined MASA Group in 1998 as an Executive Assistant. Amina quickly extended her scope of responsibilities to become Office Manager, then Human Resources Manager, to finally hold her current position which includes the overseeing Human Resources, procurement, office resources & infrastructure, as well as a broad range of daily operations-related topics. Born in Algeria, Amina also brings to the company an international background with a deep understanding of human and multi-cultural relationships.
A graduate of Saint-Cyr, an engineer from the École nationale supérieure de techniques avancées (top-class engineering institution), a specialist in operational research and modeling, licensed for higher military educations, and an auditor at the Centre des Hautes Études de l’Armement (Centre for Higher Armament Studies) , General (R) Bruno de Roodenbeke has alternated throughout his career positions in operational units (tank regiments) and in educational organizations, from conception to training.
After having successfully served in the operational research section and the technical section of the French Army, he commanded a tank regiment that was stationed in Germany. When he came back to France, he was in charge of the Centre d’Étude Tactique (Tactical Studies Center) of the specialized school of l’Arme Blindée Cavalerie (Armoured Cavalery) in Saumur, and then the Cours Supérieur d’Etat-Major (Command Staff War College) that perpetuates the education offered for officers of the Army. While he was there he developed the use of simulation (the software JANUS) in order to teach tactical exercises to interns.
In 2002, he left the army and joined MASA Group as a military adviser in order to help the team for the SCIPIO project with his subject matter expertise and also in order to help spread his advisory responsibilities to all the “Defense and Security” activities of the company in France and abroad.
John leads the North America subsidiary MASA Group Inc. in Virginia Beach, Virginia. John has over 27 years of experience in the industries of aerospace, Naval Aviation, semiconductor, telecommunications, emergency management, and modeling, simulation,& training. His career includes service with the United States Navy, Texas instruments, Alcatel-Lucent, EWA GSI, and CAE USA. He holds a B.S. Aerospace and Ocean Engineering degree from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia; an M.S. in Physics from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California; and an MBA from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas.
