Since its inception, MASA Group's reference shareholder is Qualis SCA, an industrial equity holdings firm formed in 1993. In Fiscal Year 2008, companies within the Qualis portfolio generated revenue of €900 million and operating profit of €26 million.
MASA Group is serving specific market segments with two subsidiaries. These subsidiaries sell our solutions internationally, directly and via a network of selected partners. MASA Group employs 60 people on three continents.
Europe (Headquarters)
MASA Group S.A., the group headquarters, was incorporated in France in 1996. It is based in Paris. MASA Group S.A. is the group research and development center and has a strong emphasis on developing business in Europe in general and France in particular.
Since the beginning, MASA Group S.A. has strongly supported its customers, among them the DGA (French Army procurement agency), with ambitious solutions to solve their complex problems. The technology and know-how developed at MASA Group S.A. have paved the way for work now also been achieved in the North American and Asian subsidiaries.
North America
MASA Group Inc., the North America subsidiary, was incorporated in Delaware in 2008. It is based in Norfolk, Virginia, close to Washington DC, near many of the major US military commands. It is ITAR registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). MASA Group Inc. focuses on simulation, games and virtual worlds for the defense, security, corporate and entertainment markets in North America.
The office in Norfolk Virginia supports the growth of the US and international business on the ever increasing need to exploit non-player characters (NPCs) to automate complex simulations and serious games that presently require tens to hundreds of human operators.
Asia-Pacific
MASA Group Pte Ltd., the Asia-Pacific subsidiary, was incorporated in Singapore in 2003. The initial role of the company was to identify potential markets and customers in the Asia-Pacific region for MASA Group technologies. Singapore is an excellent platform for this strategy for a number of reasons, such as: political stability, strong protection of the intellectual property, efficient communications, and ideally centralized geographical location.
Singapore is also the regional headquarters of many leading multinational corporations and companies linked to local government, including potential resellers and partners. Due to its unique situation, Singapore extends its multicultural connections towards Greater China, India, Australasia and the ASEAN countries. Thanks to all these factors, the office in Singapore is expanding its commercial and technical localization activity in coordination with its regional business.
