Patrick Samama, President and CEO, leads the strategic direction of MASA Group since 2003 and is actively involved in the development of major international partnerships and in the design of the product strategy. He has over 20 years of experience in successfully managing and developing new businesses the IT and Telco industries, which include Thomson/Thales, Bossard/Gemini Management Consulting and Andersen Consulting/Accenture. Rémi Gilet, Vice President France, arrived at MASA Group in 2002, first as Manager of the SCIPIO project, then as Chief Operating Officer in charge of simulation projects. After 10 years working in the CAD industry, first as R&D Engineer, then as Pre-sales Engineer and finally as Service Department Manager at Matra Datavision, Rémi Gilet has been Chief Operating Officer for 4 years in an information technology service company. Rémi Gilet holds an Engineering degree in Mechanics.
Mark Phillips, Vice President International Business Development, manages the North America subsidiary of MASA Group in Norfolk, Virginia. Mark has over 28 years of experience in the areas of telecommunications, logistics, and modeling & simulation worldwide. After a 20-year career in the Australian Army, Mark has held key roles in academia (Old Dominion University) and Defense contracting (General Dynamics, Terrain Experts, Presagis). Jérôme Kodjabachian, Director Product Development, is the first employee hired by MASA Group in December 1996. As an R&D Engineer, he was a key player in the design and development of MASA proprietary engines: DirectIA and Evolver. From 1998 to 2002, he was in charge of R&D projects in data analysis and signal processing. This resulted in the creation in 2003 of a dedicated team at MASA Group who developed a proprietary Machine Learning Toolkit and applied it in the context of several R&D initiatives. Jérôme holds a Telecommunication Engineering degree from ENST and a PhD in Biomathematics from Université Paris 6.
Juan-Pablo Torres, Director New Markets Development, leads the development of MASA outside of its traditional markets, and his role also includes steering the financials of the company. Prior to MASA, Pablo worked at Alcatel-Lucent Ventures, leading the business development activities for Mobile Broadcast technologies in Southern Europe and the Americas. Pablo has a broad experience in defining and implementing go-to-market strategies for disruptive technologies. His background includes market and financial research for the space telecommunications industry, financial modeling of market behaviors in the French banking industry, as well as other management positions. He has also consulted with the US government on geopolitical technology analyses and international strategic partnerships. Pablo is a graduate from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, holds an Engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique in France, and a Masters degree in Technology and Policy from the MIT.
