The Federal Consortium for Virtual Worlds has asked Mark Phillips, VP of Business Development for Masa Group (US), to facilitate its Intelligent Agents and Bots Panel entitled "Artificial Intelligence - Should we expect more now that Web3D is on its way?"
NORFOLK, VIRGINIA (March 17th, 2009) — The Federal Virtual Worlds Consortium will be held at the National Defense University in Washington DC on April 23-24 2009. During the conference, Mark will facilitate a panel of AI experts to discuss the future of AI as it relates to virtual worlds and games.
“This is an exciting opportunity to get a panel of strongly opinionated experts together”, says Mark. “It has only been in the past 2-3 years that the growth and interest in virtual worlds has driven the need for intelligent non-player-characters, or NPCs, to become more mainstream.”
The panel will be looking 10 to 15 years into the future to imagine the virtual landscape and envision the role of AI in support of humans in the cloud.
