PARIS, FRANCE (January 29th, 2010) — MASA Group, a leading vendor of advanced simulation software solutions leveraging unique proprietary artificial intelligence, announced today that it has completed the sale of its fully owned subsidiary BlueKaizen to ORTEC, the world leader in advanced planning and optimization solutions. BlueKaizen focuses on optimization software for waste management and the field services industry.
By adding BlueKaizen, ORTEC will expand its market penetration and become de facto the leader in the French market for planning & optimization software. "We are happy to strengthen our position in the French market by adding a group of experienced people, customers and optimization technology for waste-management" says Michael van Duijn, Vice President Business Strategy of ORTEC. "Waste-management will become a new ORTEC business line as it is a growing market: we estimate the European market to be around 100 billion euros. This transaction also allows ORTEC to accelerate our position in the Field-services industry."
